Calling UCSF OAK Providers
1. Go to the Voalte Directory to see who is on service. https://applet.ucsf.edu/cyberraptor/voalte Their role will be in black font when they are on service. Typical roles we will look up are:
• “Peds ED Attending”
• “NICU Blue Attending” (day time)
• “NICU Yellow Attending” (night/wknd)
• “Hospital Orange Attending”
• “PICU Fellow” (per Dr. Keren Aime-Marcelin, either color red/blue is fine for day time)
• “PICU Attending BCH OAK” (will only be one on at night still)
2. On the Voalte Directory, call the 341… phone number. This is a direct number to the provider and the calls do not drop when bridging.
a. You can also call 8-6000 and then the 7 digit extension if a “341..” number is not listed. Please do not call the full phone number (628) 248-6000 and then the extension because there is currently a failure when attempting to bridge these calls. This issue is currently being worked on.
3. In Voalte Messenger, favorite the Peds ED BCH OAK by searching this team and selecting the star. The star will turn yellow once you select it. Now, from your “Favorites” list, you can quickly get to the OAK ED.
• Of note, if the provider is using Voalte Me, their extension will not show as this is a glitch in Voalte’s system (this has been reported to them)
4. When the provider is logged in correctly, you can hover to discover the main number and their extension. This is the same information you would find on the directory page. Once everyone starts logging in correctly though, we should just be able to look on Voalte Messenger and hover to see this information. Since this is not consistently happening quite yet, please continue to use the Voalte Directory (red and black list) to find out who is on service and their contact numbers.
