In the event of employee injury, the unit charge nurse should notify the BCH Nursing Supervisor as soon as possible. If the injury requires immediate medical attention, the employee should be taken to the BCH Emergency Department.

In the event of needlestick or other exposure to pathogens, please direct the employee to call the Needlestick Hotline ASAP. The number is on each badge hanger, 415-353-7842, and is available 24/7.
